Jan Allman Included in Distinguished Registry

Jan Allman was listed among the Top Women to Watch by Crain's Detroit Business

    CHICAGO, IL, May 18, 2011 /Automotive PR News/ -- Jan Allman, Assembly Plant Manager at Ford Motor Company, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in management.

Named as one of the Top Women to Watch by Crain's Detroit Business, Ms. Allman is an experienced management professional with a strong background in powertrain and product development. A graduate of Kettering University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, she has been working in the manufacturing industry for the past 25 years. Currently an employee of Ford Motor Company, her responsibilities include the production of the Lincoln MKS sedan and the launch of the all-new Ford Taurus and Explorer vehicles. Ms. Allman played a significant role in launching the 3.5 base and EcoBoost engines while in the powertrain organization and recently became the first plant manager to make the transition from powertrain to vehicle operations.

Ms. Allman, who holds Six Sigma green belt certification, believes her success and longevity in the industry extends from the support she received from her mentors. A member of Women in Manufacturing, she hopes to continue her progress within her company. Ms. Allman is a supporter of the March of Dimes Foundation, United Way Worldwide and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
