Biker Chicz Book Signing During the Sturgis Rally - The royalty of North American female bikers will be making an appearance at Prairie Edge Trading Co & Galleries on Thursday, August 11.

Biker Chicz of North America, a book by Edward Winterhalder and Wil De Clercq, chronicles the lives of 22 fascinating women who ride Harley-Davidson motorcycles, have followed their dreams, and have dared to live life on their own terms.

RAPID CITY, SD, August 04, 2011 /Automotive PR News/ -- Several of the women featured in Biker Chicz of North America - Gevin Fax, Betsy Huelskamp, Pepper Massey, Meg McDonough, Vicki Sanfelipo, Cris Sommer Simmons, Gina Woods, and Gloria Struck - will be autographing copies of the book at Prairie Edge Trading Co & Galleries in Rapid City, SD from 10:00 am to noon during the Sturgis Rally.

About the Book
Based on this remarkable culture of women motorcyclists, Biker Chicz of North America introduces readers to the women who ride and reveals their inspiring stories of overcoming adversity and rising to success - from stories of triumph over drugs and alcohol, overcoming bad relationships, and pulling out of poverty, to finding spirituality - all as a result of their love for motorcycling.

Each chapter tells the story of a successful, intelligent, freethinking, adventurous, risk taking, creative, inspiring, and tenacious woman. Together, they are bound by a shared enthusiasm - they are all avowed Harley riders and ambassadors for women's motorcycling.

"Our original intention was to focus on mainstream women motorcycle riders who are more or less the average girl next door...but somehow we ended up with women whom we consider to belong to the current royalty of North American female bikers. The only criteria we were looking for was that they had inspiring stories to tell and that they rode a Harley-Davidson.

...We are not Harley snobs by any means, but because Harley-Davidson motorcycles are the most identifiable and representative of the biker culture, we chose 'America's Freedom Machine' as a common thread to lend continuity to our narrative."
- Edward Winterhalder
